COVID cases had just gone down. Many people had lost their jobs but many also got new opportunities post COVID. Offices, schools and colleges were still online but new hiring for offline work was already started by all to prepare for new challenges.

Shefali was one of those lucky ones. She was always so much busy to look after her kid and family that she forgot all her plans for her career. As most of the offices and colleges were still online so employees and college students had not yet returned. On her floor, only 3-4 rooms were occupied. So, there were not much people to talk to. Everything was so new for her.

He was a lawyer and was living with his cousin Lucky who was working as a broker in that area. And Shefali had taken room from these guys only. He went back to his room and came back with a plate of chapatis and a bowl full of chicken.”

“OMG. It’s not necessary. I have already prepared food.”

She laughed and thanked him.

After this it became a daily routine and after few days they started calling her over to have dinner with them. They all use to eat together in one plate.  All three of them became good friends and slowly started going out together. Shefali got totally dependent on them for all her needs and they were also quick and help her every time she needed. Anil was mostly out with friends, so Lucky and Shefali were usually alone and talked about various things. They clicked together quickly.

Once she went home for a week. After 2 days she received a call from Lucky.

“Where are you?” He asked.

Finally, she reached back after 2 days. But Lucky again didn’t spoke to her regarding those calls.

They saw the movie sitting on sides with the table between them and kept discussing the movie.

She laughed at the end. “This was horror!! It was a funny movie. This is what you watch?” And laughed loudly.

“No I just played a less scary movie. Wait!!” He came close and started searching for the next one
